The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Veterinary Ireland is held annually, usually in November. All members are entitled to attend the AGM, but only those deemed ordinary members are entitled to vote at the AGM.

The 2009 AGM of Veterinary Ireland will take place:

At 2.30 pm, on Friday 20th November 2009,
in the Clarion Hotel, Liffey Valley, Co. Dublin.

The purposes of the AGM are to receive and consider the reports of the Chief Executive, the President, and of the National Council on the business of the Organisation; to receive the accounts of the Organisation and the report of the Auditors; to conduct ballots in considering such resolutions as may be laid before the meeting, in accordance with the rules of the Organisation; and to conduct such other business as the National Council may deem necessary and appropriate for the AGM.

Members receive written notice of the AGM at least 21 days in advance, and notification also includes copies of the balance sheet, income and expenditure account and the auditors report for consideration by the members.

Once convened, a quorum of twenty (20) members is required for the AGM.
