The Board of Directors of Veterinary Ireland is responsible for the government and control of the Organisation in accordance with the rules and policies formulated by the AGMs and subject to the National Council’s direction.

The Board is made up of the President, the Vice President, The Honorary Treasurer, the Chairpersons of those Interest Groups with more than 100 members, the Past-President, the Chief Executive and up to one co-optee.

The work of the Board of Directors includes agreeing and monitoring annual budgets, monitoring and supervising the implementation of AGM and National Council Policy and to act as a forum for decisions on Organisational business not specific to individual Interest Groups.
